🪧 See this sign on a jobsite? It means hot work is happening, and on a healthcare build like our Sutter Folsom project, fire safety is taken seriously at every step.

Hot work is anything that throws sparks or flame: welding, cutting, grinding.

On a site full of framing, insulation, and stacked materials, that's a real fire risk. So before it starts, we post a permit, name someone responsible, and keep a fire watch during the work and after it wraps.

Every one of those steps is there for one reason: everyone goes home safe and the building stays protected.

⚖️ "Value engineering" gets thrown around a lot, and it is often misunderstood.

Done right, it means finding smarter ways to hit the same goal for less cost. A material that performs the same, a method that saves labor, a system that runs more efficiently. Same quality, better price.

Done wrong, it is cutting corners with a nicer name.

The latest on our Anatolia project.

Every stage is planned around the one before it, so no trade is ever left waiting on another. Windows are in, the concrete around the building is poured and curing, and the HVAC is set on the roof!

Every detail came together on this one, right down to iHeart’s signature red carried throughout the space, tying the whole design back to the brand.

🔝 Sometimes you have to get to the top to see the whole picture, then climb back down and get to work.

From up top you can see how it all fits together, where things line up and where they don't. But nothing actually gets built standing up there.

Overrated ⬆️ vs Underrated ⬇️

Overrated: big promises up front. Every contractor can talk a good game before the work starts.

Underrated: follow-through. Doing what we said we’d do, and doing it right even when no one’s looking over our shoulder.

In construction, the follow-up is everything. It’s what separates the GCs who sound good from the ones you’d hire again.
