๐๏ธ๐จ NEW PROJECT KICK-OFF | Termite-Damaged Home Restoration
First, we want to thank all of our followers and clients for your patience over the past couple of months. Cajun Conservation has been undergoing a company transition and restructuring behind the scenes, strengthening our operation and preparing for the next chapter of the company. We appreciate everyone who has continued following our work, and we're excited to start showing you what we've been working toward.
Our next project takes us to a rental property that has suffered substantial termite damage over the years. What may look manageable from the outside becomes a much different story once you begin opening the walls.
This restoration will involve extensive repairs to the lower exterior walls, lower interior walls, and portions of the home's damaged framing. We'll be opening up affected areas, removing deteriorated material, addressing compromised sections of the structure, rebuilding where necessary, and putting the home back together piece by piece.
Projects like this are a good reminder that the most important work on a house isn't always the work you can see when it's finished.
Before new finishes can go up, the structure behind them has to be right.
That's especially important with older South Louisiana homes, where moisture, insects, previous repairs, and decades of modifications can reveal problems that aren't obvious until demolition begins. Our job is to work through those problems methodically and leave behind something substantially better than what we found.
The goal with this property is straightforward: take a termite-damaged house and transform it back into a safe, functional, livable home that can continue serving its owner and future tenants for years to come.
And we'll be bringing you along for the process. From demolition and the damage we uncover to framing repairs, exterior reconstruction, interior restoration, and the finished product.
This one should be a satisfying transformation. ๐
