Dehydration does not just happen in extreme heat. It happens when it is overlooked.

In construction, long hours, physical work, and changing conditions increase the risk across every region, not just during peak summer.

Hydration plays a critical role in maintaining focus, decision-making, and overall safety in the field. Even mild dehydration can impact performance before symptoms are fully recognized.

Simple habits make a difference:
- Start the day hydrated
- Drink consistently, not just when thirsty
- Take breaks when needed
- Look out for your crew

Staying ahead of dehydration is part of working safely, every day.

May is Women’s Health Month.

Women across MasTec companies support our operations every day, from the field to the office, and their health, well-being, and quality of life matter deeply to all of us.

From heart disease and breast cancer to mental health, women face unique health challenges. Taking time for preventative care, regular screenings, and overall well-being is important, and we encourage our teams to support and prioritize healthy lifestyles both at work and at home.

This month, take time to check in with one another, encourage healthy habits and check-ups, and support the women behind the work.

We're proud of our crew for safely and successfully completing this distribution project in the Midwest, where uneven and challenging terrain required helicopter access to transport linemen directly to the poles for critical work.

Projects like this highlight the skill, coordination, and safety-focused mindset of our crews, who continue to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions in even the most challenging environments.
