🚨 Contractor Scam Awareness 🚨

Today we learned a valuable lesson: always verify property ownership before heading out for an estimate.

We responded to what appeared to be a legitimate fence bid request, only to learn from the real estate agent that the person requesting the estimate did not own the property she also informed us that multiple contractors had been sent to the same house.

Thankfully, all we lost was a little drive time. It could have been much worse if the conversation had progressed into one of the common fake-payment scams targeting contractors.

Once we realized what was going on, we suddenly had some free time on our hands. Instead of doing an estimate, we decided to waste the scammer's time the same way they wasted ours. The screenshots below are the result—and honestly, it was pretty entertaining. 😂

A little late getting this posted — this project in Union was completed earlier this week.
✔️ Removed damaged subfloor
✔️ Rebuilt and reinforced
✔️ Installed new flooring for a clean finish
What looks like a small soft spot can turn into a bigger issue underneath — this one definitely did.
If something feels off with your floors, it’s worth checking out sooner than later.

🚽 You know it’s bad when the floor around your toilet feels soft…
That’s not just “wear and tear” — that’s water damage doing its thing underneath.
What starts as a small, slow leak can turn into:
✔️ Rotten subfloor
✔️ Hidden moisture damage
✔️ Floors that start to dip, flex, or feel unstable
This one was completely broken down under the surface — and from the outside, it didn’t look nearly this bad.
💡 If the floor feels soft, your toilet rocks, or you’re seeing staining… it’s time to address it before it spreads.
We don’t patch over problems — we remove the damaged material and rebuild it solid so it lasts.
