One of the biggest lawn care myths is that shorter grass means less mowing.
In reality, mowing too short can put extra stress on your lawn during the summer.
Taller grass helps shade the soil, retain moisture, and develop deeper roots. It also makes it harder for weeds to move in and take over.
A good rule of thumb: never remove more than one-third of the grass blade in a single mowing.
The goal isn't the shortest lawn on the block.
It's the healthiest.
