We are so glad to have the ASCEND team joining the Kurk Crew this year!

Our ASCEND Transition Students started a new jobsite this week! Kurk Inc. welcomed our young adults with work shirts and some fun goodies to get them started. Students will be gaining valuable work experience by completing tasks such as clerical work, janitorial duties, and warehouse inventory in an industrial environment. We are so excited for this new opportunity and grateful to Kurk Concrete for supporting our growth toward greater independence and employment! Thank you, Kurk Inc!

500 linear feet of foundation wall and 35 different elevation changes, Noel's crew is finishing up their last pour on this building built into a hill.

👋Wave if you see this and forward to a friend, otherwise you'll have bad luck for seven years and forced to pour concrete.

We did that thing where you get busy just living and working and don't post online, so Alex is here waving to you all letting you know the Kurk Crew is still here and his boss has a lot of good photos of the crews in action that maybe will get posted soon.

BUT REALLY, JUST LOOK HOW HAPPY THIS GUY IS! EVERY SINGLE DAY HE SHOWS UP WITH A SMILE AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HIM ON THE KURK CREW!

Kinda cool tractor I found in our shop today, wonder what it's used for on the construction site. Probably could pull a scraper pan pretty fast and float across the grade with those big tires.

Meet the newest (and most well protected) member of the Kurk Crew! 🧴🚧

Working outdoors means constant exposure to ultraviolent rays, which can lead to long term skin damage and increased health risks. A safe job site means protecting our team from all elements, including the sun!

Staying fueled and hydrated with watermelon and fresh fruit as we work through this stretch of hot weather!

The Kurk Crews are working this week, prepping and pouring concrete, excavating a pond, and installing a sanitary lateral.

To help protect our team from the heat, we are providing plenty of water, sports drinks, and healthy snacks, scheduling extra breaks, shortening workdays when needed, checking in with crews throughout the day, and reinforcing the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
