🚨Look familiar?!🚨 These are the notorious Paper Wasps. They're social insects known for building open-faced, paper-like nests, often resembling an upside-down cone, from chewed plant matter. They are generally brown or black with yellow/rusty markings with long legs. They WILL sting in defense of their nest. They are active from spring to fall, and while they can be aggressive if threatened, they are less aggressive than yellowjackets. Paper wasp nests are often only active for one season and are usually abandoned in the winter.
