The " Organic " label in your grocery store & Honey Bees !
(Long but informative)
Yes , the " Organic " label is the biggest act of fraud in your grocery store .
Organic eggs in your grocery store simply means the chickens are fed Organic feeds , well , that's a pretty wide range of feeds .
For example ; the biggest feed used is the distillery feed waste .
Distillery feed waste comes with a heavy price as the chickens internal system is deprived nutrionally and the f***s quickly becomes an infestation of Coccidiosis which becomes deadly very quickly .
From here the soils become tainted as the chickens peck & dig .
Soon the farmer begins to treat the chickens and it becomes a constant regimen used weekly but , by definition requirements , the Chickens are considered " Organic " based on what they're fed , not by environmental.
" Grass Fed Cows " , 🤔 think about that one for a minute , I don't even think it needs an example 😂 ...
And the same rules apply when it comes to the " Organic " labeling in the chickens example .
We dealt with U.S.D.A. for a bit over 20 years , yes , it's very wishy washy. .
But , let's understand a bit about their goals .
U.S.D.A. goals is to slowly afford a new grower in whichever field , the small steps along the growers path , the " safest " methods for human consumption food safety .
Now , I believe in telling the full story on things , and really find it to be a bit misleading when both sides aren't given .
No , I'm not defending U.S.D.A. , I just believe in full disclosures.
Now , I do love honey ,.... as it's tempting as all things are ...
But let's tell the bad side & explain why U.S.D.A. grades that honey as described ...
First , I, you , or a class could tour a bee growers facility and never tell what's wrong , just as with Coccidiosis on a cow , hog, horse, chicken farm , etc....
Only with bees , it's Salmanella ...
You cannot see nor touch it but pour , unclean microscopic habits spread it on a bee farm .
I can bust U.S.D.A.'s " Organic " label on your favorite grocery stores produce section , any of them .
If you raise an " Organic " garden , then bugs are a cycle of life , they're there and is why we must salt bathe our produce prior to consumption / preparation...
It's a simple microbiological fact .
Flys are a dead give away in an Organic garden as they prefer decaying produce to lay their larvae ...
A fly will find you in the middle of the ocean or desert either one , they'll find you ....
Yet you'll never find one in the produce section and it's nothing to do with the micro water sprayers, it's because bugs don't like sprays .
While there's plenty of " Organic " sprays like Neem-Oil , one must do their due diligence with this , as Neem-Oil kills microbiological life which is needed to attract healthy nematodes which fight off bad microbiological life .
And all the concoctions using dawn dishwashing liquid are an immediate red flag to the " Organic " meaning , as Dishwashing liquid works because it's petroleum based , this is how it removes food particles from dishes .
We , we raise an actual " Organic " garden , there's no chemicals , no sprays , no 5dust , nothing used .
We still have our garden growing outside right through winter , very non-traditional and people stare often around here .
We feed our garden nature and in doing so our dirt flora is amazingly healthy and we have next to no bad bug issues as a result .
We don't " Lay The Lyme " to it ( ohhh my garsh this gets annoying to hear from traditional farmers ).
The traditional garden farmer never actually feeds the soil which encourages healthy nematode development .
And believe it or not , it's literally dirt cheap to begin .
However, it does take a couple years to get the soil healthy .
Quite simply , we raise a " Lazy " garden . ( youtube " Interview with Ruth Stout " ( careful with the hay/straw ( Back to Eden ) method she uses as it causes rats which causes listeria which causes sickness but understand her concept of how nature works & works best )
We are old and broken down with not much time to perform many tasks ....
But all it takes is simply layering wood chips .
( ref: youtube " James Pergioni " teaches the wood chip method but be mindful as he tries selling you the fungi , but remember it grows naturally in wood chips )
When wood chips begin breaking down the process creates a fungi which promotes healthy root growth, a tiny zip lock bag of that fungi runs around $30 but occurs naturally and virtually free ..
Here's a wonderful test to perform .
Grab you a bag of U.S.D.A. (those red nets) Idaho potatoes , now grab you a sack of 50lb. field potatoes from Sav-A-Lot , set them side by side out in the sun .
In about a week or 2 the field potatoes are going to be rotted and it'll be at least 6 months later and the Idaho , U.S.D.A. potatoes will still be crispy when you cut them open .... ( we know , we've ran this test on 2 occasions in mid summer )..
That's not saying the field potatoes are chemical free or that they're " Organic " as we don't know , we've never sent in for chemical analysis , but it does tell us , they're definitely more " Organic " than big labels because nature is allowed to take its course as intended .
What people don't like is those field potatoes often rot , have lots of bad places , etc... however , when you do the weight vs. Cost involved , field potatoes are the better outcome , plus you can plant them as they'll eye up where big labels won't or the eyes won't produce .
It should also be well noted that honey is immediate glucose.
Glucose is very problematic with humans and the extreme health issues involving diabetes in America.
That's an article in itself but it's the other side of all the positive sides always bragged about but is only a complete fair assessment when we're talking about informing the public ...
Let's inform both good & bad so oconsumers make an informed decision .
In short , here's an oxymoron ;
Honey ,simmered upon a skillet on your stove , mixed with a touch of brown whiskey really relieves cold symptoms ...
Just as one is both good and bad for the body , so is the other 😉 in many ways they're still yet the same .
So , for Consumer Food Safety when dealing with U.S.D.A.' s " Organic " Labelling according to " Grade " levels for honey , the " Grade A " honey merely means it's the safest and extremely unlikely to contract Salmanella from that farmer as to the lower grades .
So bare this in mind , even if we tour a bee farmers equipment , processing facility , unless they can show us an on the spot Salmanella test strip , daily , then it's a chance , it's a big chance we're taking .
No , I'm not defending store branded honey , but they're tested hourly , daily , etc ...
But it is watered down 😡
Below is reference to the statement involving Salmanella and honey bees .
There's lots and lots of data to back the statement as well and from all over the world.
