John is the nuts and bolts—the builder, project manager, schedule keeper, and the guy on the ground making sure every detail comes together.

Lindsay leads the design side, working closely with our clients to make selections that feel cohesive, intentional, and personal. We joke that her job is to stay one step ahead of John—making decisions before construction needs them so the project can keep moving on schedule and within budget.

But what we’re most proud of is how we work together for our clients.

Building a custom home comes with hundreds of decisions, and our job is to make sure you never feel like you’re navigating them alone. We listen to what matters to you—your priorities, your style, your budget—and advocate for you throughout the entire process.

We believe building a home should be exciting. There will always be decisions to make and problems to solve, but we work hard to keep the process organized, collaborative, and, yes, actually fun.

Because at the end of the day, we aren’t building our home.

High-end doesn’t always mean a certain brand or price tag.

What makes a home feel truly luxurious often comes down to the details—the right scale, thoughtful proportions, quality materials, and how each element works within the overall design.

A fixture doesn’t have to have a designer name attached to it to feel high-end. When the size, finish, placement, and proportions are right, it can completely elevate a space.

Good design is less about the label and more about making the right selections for the home.

We’re seeing homeowners move away from the idea that every space has to flow together and instead create rooms with a purpose—and a personality of their own.

Mahjong rooms, cozy keeping rooms, formal dining rooms, dedicated living spaces… each room gets to feel intentional, layered, and a little different from the next.

We love seeing homes become a collection of spaces designed around how people actually live. 🤍

Building a custom home doesn’t mean you have to live nearby while it’s being built.

We work with clients who live in other cities and states, and we’ve created a process that keeps you connected and involved no matter where you are. We strategically plan your trips to town around important selections, meetings, and walkthroughs so we can make the most of your time here. In between visits, we stay connected through video calls, job-site updates, and plenty of photos along the way.

You’ll always have access to your construction schedule, so you know what’s happening now, what’s coming next, and where we are in the process.

Whether you’re down the road or several states away, our goal is to make building your home feel organized, personal, and seamless from start to finish.

We love adding layers of texture and detail throughout a primary suite.

Right now, we’re using a lot of reeded cabinetry in primary bathrooms, incorporating beautiful walnut tones, and layering lighting to add warmth and interest. Then we carry those same ideas into the primary bedroom with millwork, wallpaper, natural wood elements, and thoughtfully placed lighting.

It’s all about creating a primary suite that feels cohesive, warm, and elevated—with details that make each space feel special while still flowing beautifully together.

One thing many people don’t realize is how much happens before construction ever begins.

A truly custom floor plan generally takes about 3–4 months to design and finalize. That means if we begin the initial conversations this fall, spend the next few months thoughtfully designing your home, and break ground around the beginning of the year, you’re setting yourself up for the possibility of celebrating Christmas 2027 in your new home. ❤️

Building custom isn’t just about the construction timeline. The planning, designing, budgeting and decision-making that happen before we ever break ground are a huge part of creating a home that truly works for your family.

Designing for trends and designing for longevity are two very different approaches—and both can be beautiful.

Some clients love incorporating current trends because they know they’ll likely be in their home for the next five years or so. Others are building their forever home and want a design that will transcend changing styles and still feel just as beautiful 10, 20, or even 30 years from now.

Neither approach is right or wrong. The best design is the one that reflects how you live and how long you plan to love your home. And honestly, we love designing both.
