Today reminded me what it means to sit “behind the desk."
I have the privilege of speaking with so many incredible voices every day, and today was no exception. One conversation in particular stayed with me. She began explaining why she missed her check-up—something I hadn’t even asked about—but she opened her heart anyway. And I’m so thankful she did.
As we talked, I told her, “We will be praying for you and your husband during this time,” and I truly prayed she could feel that those weren’t just words.
Then she said two words that stopped me in my tracks…
But God.
In the middle of confusion, worry, tears, and all the what-ifs, she still found the faith to say, but God.
Moments like that bring me to my knees. They remind me so clearly of God’s love and goodness—even in life’s hardest seasons.
I’m so grateful for the people we get to call “customers,” and for their boldness to speak truth into everyday conversations.
In the middle of uncertainty and the unknown, my prayer is this: that every voice I’m blessed to speak with is reminded of the power of a simple, unwavering faith…
But God.
