Native Roots LLC You may know of Native Roots. It is the brainchild of Dr. Steven Love. You may have wondered what became of his vision.

He sought and acquired seed from exceptional plants native to the west - selected further the few from the many - and over the years established a stable line of nearly native plants better suited to home and urban landscapes. Three years ago Native Roots, LLC was formed and we built a 14-acre production facility including 130 plots for seed increase. We then acquired and planted seed from Dr. Love’s selections and waited. Transplanted the resulting mother-stock. . . and waited for this moment:

The opportunity to present growers plants that go beyond beautiful – ones offering far reaching and practical impacts benefiting Americans and our landscape for generations to come. Native Roots' plants have been bred to retain the beauty of wild native plants while growing within a consistent set of traits. Our natives can be used in any landscape setting.

One of the most amazing projects to be part of. The community in and around the state of Idaho is absolutely blessed to have this once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in a landscape level restoration project. This park will be evolving over time and for those that want to watch as nature comes back, it will inform and educate them. I encourage everyone to stop in after the park opens to see for themselves the beginning of something truly special.

If you have questions about what plants are being installed or how they are being taken care of feel free to reach out and my team and I will do our best to answer your questions.

Rather than creating a highly manicured landscape, the project will use a stewardship approach that allows the native plants to establish and mature over time.
