A family with kids or a home office doesn't have to relocate. Budget also spreads across months or years instead of one upfront payment, making the work possible for homeowners who couldn't afford a full rewire in a single payment.

The downsides are real, though. Multiple smaller visits almost always add up to more total cost than a single continuous project. Every visit means new setup, wall patching, and paint touch-ups. Permits and inspections follow a rough-in and final sequence in California, and room-by-room work often repeats that cycle for every phase.
