Agency tours are always a highlight! ❤️ We loved visiting Hospice of West Alabama and Arts ’n Autism to see the incredible work they’re doing in our community. We also had the opportunity to hear from leaders with Easterseals and Success by 6 and learn more about the programs and services they provide across West Alabama. It was a great day of learning more about the organizations making a difference right here at home!

Our United Way campaign is off to a great start as we celebrate United Way's 80th anniversary and reflect on eight decades of strengthening communities and changing lives.

We were honored to hear from Larry Deavers of Family Counseling Service at Headquarters, while Nick Baldelli-Boggs of United Way and Dr. Karen Thompson-Jackson of Temporary Emergency Services joined employees at our Moundville Mill to share powerful stories about the real people and families impacted by United Way-funded programs. Their messages served as a meaningful reminder that every contribution helps create stronger, healthier communities and that, together, we can make a lasting difference.

Serving our communities has always been part of who we are. That's why we were grateful for the opportunity to volunteer with the West Alabama Food Bank, an organization dedicated to helping families across nine West Alabama counties. By supporting their mission, our team was able to play a small role in making a big impact for our neighbors throughout the region.

For nearly 30 years, the Flatwood community has come together to preserve this field as a place for recreation, connection, and community. What began as the vision of a small group of local residents committed to giving back has grown into a lasting legacy.

Last week, Westervelt and the Flatwood community came together to celebrate the continued preservation of this special place. We were welcomed with open arms, great food, and stories that reflected the pride and dedication behind this field. As we look to the future, we're honored that land once entrusted by Westervelt continues to serve as a gathering place for families, friends, and neighbors. Together, we're helping ensure this legacy of stewardship, sustainability, and community remains strong for generations to come.

Our Thomasville team is proud to have been recognized with the Outstanding Campaign Award at the United Way of Southwest Alabama Clarke County Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon.

This recognition reflects the generosity of our employees and our commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work. We were also honored to be recognized for our partnership with the Thomasville Food Distribution, helping provide support to local families and neighbors in need.
