Not every veteran comes home to peace.

I know because I lived it.

I served in Iraq from 2009–2010. Before I deployed, life felt normal. I came home expecting to pick up where I left off.

It didn’t happen.

The war came home with me.

PTSD, anxiety, sleepless nights, and the feeling that you’re fighting a battle no one else can see. Those struggles cost veterans jobs, marriages, homes, and sometimes even their lives.

I realized something.

The hardest battles aren’t always fought overseas. They’re often fought after the uniform comes off.

That’s why I started Valor Ridge.

This isn’t just another nonprofit with a mission statement. It’s built by a veteran who’s lived it, for veterans who are living it now.

We’ve already stepped in when veterans needed food, help with rent, basic necessities, and someone willing to answer the phone when life fell apart. Every dollar we’ve received has gone toward helping veterans get through one more day.

But helping with today’s crisis isn’t the finish line.

Our vision is bigger.

One day, we want to build transitional communities where veterans can find stability, rebuild their lives, and stand shoulder to shoulder with people who understand what they’ve been through.

That dream doesn’t start with millions of dollars.

It starts with ordinary people deciding that no veteran should have to fight alone.

That’s what Valor Guard is.

Whether it’s $10 a month or more, you’re not buying a membership.

You’re standing guard for a veteran who’s having the worst day of their life.

Because when life hits hard…

We’re excited to announce that planning is officially underway for the 1st Annual Valor Ridge Battle Buddy Clay Shoot this fall!

Right now, we’re looking for the right venue. If you own, manage, or know of a shooting range or club that may be interested in partnering with Valor Ridge, please tag them below or send me a message.

This event will raise funds to support our mission of serving veterans right here in our community. We appreciate any leads and all the shares!

🇺🇸 VENUE NEEDED 🇺🇸

Valor Ridge is looking for a local shooting range or club interested in partnering with us for our 1st Annual Battle Buddy Clay Shoot this Fall.

We’re planning for:
• Up to 25 four-person teams (100 shooters max)
• A one-day fundraising event benefiting Valor Ridge, a local 501(c)(3) serving veterans
• A safe, family-friendly event that we hope becomes an annual tradition

What we’re looking for in a venue:
✅ Clay target facilities (trap, s***t, sporting clays, or a combination)
✅ Enough room to accommodate approximately 100 shooters plus spectators
✅ Parking
✅ Space for registration, sponsors, awards, and food vendors
✅ Willingness to partner with a local veteran nonprofit
