This unit basically had a blanket of Debris covering the condenser coil. Restricting the airflow can do major damage to your condensing unit. If your system doesn’t seem to be keeping up and running all day check your outside coil and see if it’s dirty. If it’s dirty it can be cleaned with a water hose very easily. This can save you some money with your electric bill.

Burnt wire on a compressor can be caused from many things. A dirty condenser coil can let the compressor get too hot and that can cause a wire to burn as well as a loose connection or a high amp draw from a loose connection. Most of the time this issue can be Repaired. But sometimes it turns out to be the end for the compressor.

This is an issue we run across all the time. You can avoid paying a service call and major damage to your compressor by keeping your condenser clean. Don't use too much pressure while cleaning it because you don't want to bend your fins. Just work a water hose up and down the fins and it will remove the debris. A clogged condenser can also make your electric bill extremely high. If you don't have time or are unable to keep your condenser clean and are having issues give us a call and will come out and get it taken care of it.
