👀 Did you know a sloped yard can change how your fence is built?​
​
There are 2 common ways to run a fence down a hill:​
1️⃣ Stepped: Each section stays level and steps down with the slope. This can create small gaps underneath the panels.​
2️⃣ Racked: The rails angle with the slope while the pickets remain vertical. This creates a more continuous look and works best on gentle to moderate slopes.​
​
A slope can also affect your gate. Swing direction and ground clearance need to be planned around the grade before the posts are set.​
​
👉 Since every yard is different, a site visit lets us evaluate the slope and recommend the approach that makes the most sense for your property.​
