Every quarter, the Empire Fence team steps away from the everyday work of building fences to do something we believe matters even more—serve the people in our community who could use a helping hand.
This quarter, our team spent the day repairing and replacing fences for a widow and two single moms. But for one of our homeowners, we were able to do a little more. Along with replacing her fence, our team mowed her lawn, trimmed overgrown shrubs and trees, weeded her flowerbeds, and repaired a retaining wall that had been damaged by tree roots.
These may seem like small things, but when you’re facing life on your own, having someone show up and simply say, “We’ve got you,” can make a tremendous difference.
Our why comes from James 1:27—to care for those in need and put our faith into action.
And here’s what we hope this video reminds you of: you don’t have to have to have a big platform, a huge budget, or a special organization behind you.
Whatever your profession, whatever your skill, whatever you have to give—there is someone in your community who could benefit from it.
A contractor can repair a fence.
A landscaper can care for a yard.
A mechanic can fix a vehicle.
A teacher can encourage a child.
A neighbor can lend a hand.
We all have something we can give.
