✨ A Kitchen Cabinet Painting Transformation in Broken Arrow.
We recently completed this cabinet refinishing project for Craig and Lorraine, and we're very proud of how their kitchen turned out.
Craig has a woodworking background and a real appreciation for quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, so receiving this review meant a lot to us.

Here’s what he had to say:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"I saved my most sensitive DIY+++ project for 2026 last, our kitchen update which included refinishing the kitchen cabinets. After doing my research, I engaged with Christophe, owner of Zest Painting. We had three very productive meetings to discuss scope of work and the associated preparations both from Zest and tasks that were within my skill set. The ex*****on of the project plan was awesome which included onsite painting and painting of the doors and drawer fronts at the Zest shop. As I have a complete wood-shop myself, I handled the removal of the old hinges and drawer pulls and installed the new hardware. The outcome exceeded my expectations. Christophe and his team did an amazing job on the prep and painting tasks and I completely recommend his services."

What You Don’t See Is Often the Most Important Part of a Painting Project.

When people think about painting, they usually picture the finished result; a beautifully transformed room, kitchen, or exterior.

What often goes unnoticed is everything that happens beforehand.

These photos, taken on different residential and commercial projects, highlight the preparation that takes place before the finish coats are ever applied.

That preparation may include protecting furniture and floors, carefully masking surfaces, repairing drywall or exterior wood, sanding, caulking, and priming where needed.

While these steps are not the most noticeable part of a project, they’re among the most important. Proper preparation helps create a smoother finish, improves durability, and contributes to results that look better and last longer.

At Zest Painting, we believe exceptional results don’t start with the first coat of paint, they start with meticulous preparation.

One of the biggest challenges homeowners face before an exterior painting project isn’t the painting itself, it’s choosing the colors.

For this home, we created several custom renderings so the homeowner could see different color combinations before making a final decision. Seeing colors on the actual house makes it much easier to compare options and feel confident moving forward.

After reviewing several possibilities, they selected a palette that complements the brick beautifully while giving the home a fresh, updated look.

Which option would you have chosen? 👇

We love helping homeowners bring their vision to life throughout Tulsa, Bixby, Jenks, Broken Arrow, and surrounding communities.

Painting contractors, along with other home improvement contractors, have unfortunately earned a negative reputation among homeowners. As an industry insider, we must admit that most painting contractors are perceived as unreliable, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. Countless surveys reveal a long list of grievances that homeowners have when dealing with contractors, ranging from poor communication to subpar workmanship. But what's the cause of all these concerns?

ILLEGITIMATE CONTRACTORS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HOMEOWNERS.

One of the primary reasons for the negative perception of painting contractors is the existence of illegitimate contractors who take advantage of homeowners. Many unskilled and inexperienced individuals view painting as an easy way to make a quick buck. These "fly-by-night" crews lack the necessary expertise and professionalism to deliver quality work and fulfill their promises. As a result, homeowners are often left frustrated with unfinished or poorly done projects, and their trust in painting contractors is eroded.
