HVAC History Deep Cut 🕰️🌡️
Long before you could adjust the temperature from your phone, controlling a home's heating system was a much more hands-on process.
Early heating systems could require manually controlling dampers, fuel or airflow to adjust the amount of heat reaching a home.
The development of automatic thermostats helped change that by allowing heating systems to respond to room temperature without constant attention from the homeowner.
Today, thermostats can learn schedules, control different zones and connect to your phone — but they're still solving the same basic problem: keeping your home at the temperature you want.
