Early September is a good time to check the areas people use most on a commercial property.

Entrances, sidewalks, curb ramps, and parking lot approaches take repeated pressure through late summer. Turf can thin along the path people actually walk. Mulch can shift out of beds. Trash, leaves, and sediment can begin collecting where foot traffic, drainage, and pavement meet.

Catching those small issues now helps the property enter the fall transition in better shape. It also gives maintenance crews a clearer read on what needs attention before heavier seasonal debris and cooler weather add more variables.

Late August is a useful time to look at commercial turf areas that have taken the most stress through the summer.

High heat, foot traffic, mowing patterns, and dry periods can leave thin spots near entrances, sidewalks, drive lanes, and open sunny areas. Those weak areas may not look urgent yet, but they can become harder to recover once growth slows later in the season.

A quick review now helps property managers see where turf may need attention before fall conditions settle in. It also gives the property a better chance to enter the next season without carrying summer stress forward.

Today we took a break from the heat to treat all of our Tulsa and Oklahoma City associates to lunch and a fun afternoon relaxing. Not everyday has to be about counting production hours, but taking the time to show appreciation to the guys and gals that put in the hours day in and day out in the elements. Thank you.
