Progress is blooming at Colonia de Valle Prospero!

The site’s landscaping is taking shape, the new playground has been installed, and the vision for this vibrant Albany community is becoming a reality. It won’t be long before kids are climbing, sliding, and making memories in their new neighborhood.

LMC Marketing Coordinator Kaitlyn recently toured our Colonia Libertad 2 jobsite in Salem to get a firsthand look at the progress taking shape.

From framing and field operations to site safety and logistics, the visit highlighted the teamwork and coordination that go into bringing a project to life.

A special thank you to Safety Training and Development Manager Jeanna King and Assistant Superintendent Matt Long for sharing their knowledge and offering a behind-the-scenes look at the work happening every day on site.

We're excited to watch Colonia Libertad 2 continue to come together!

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧!

Located on the beautiful Tacoma waterfront, our new office marks an exciting chapter as we continue to expand our presence in Washington. With a growing portfolio of work in the region, we're proud to partner with clients and communities to create spaces that make a lasting impact.

One of the standout features of the new office is a custom mural showcasing both the Tacoma and Portland skylines, complete with the phrase, "𝐒𝐤𝐲'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭." More than a piece of artwork, it reflects the mindset that drives us every day: keep pushing forward, keep building, and keep finding new ways to serve the people and places that make our region unique. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our grand opening celebration!

The sun made an appearance just in time, and it was wonderful to celebrate alongside so many friends, partners, and team members. We're grateful for the support that has helped us reach this milestone and look forward to the opportunities, partnerships, and projects still to come!

On September 10th, we celebrated the grand opening of Legin Commons alongside our partners and community members. Throughout the event, speakers shared the impact this project will have by providing affordable, supportive housing for individuals and families in need.

Named in honor of the former Legin Chinese Restaurant, a longtime neighborhood staple, Legin Commons brings 124 affordable apartment homes to the Montavilla neighborhood near the Jade District. The development includes 63 family-sized units and homes serving households with the greatest housing needs. Located near PCC, the community was thoughtfully designed with amenities that support residents and families, including a community room, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a playground, a community garden, bike storage, and on-site resident services.

Seeing a project grow from an idea on paper to a ribbon-cutting is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. We're proud to have helped create a place that will serve the community for generations to come, and are excited to see Legin Commons welcome residents home.

Thank you to our partners, Our Just Future, APANO Communities United Fund (CUF), Edlen & Company, BORA Architects, and the many trade partners whose hard work and dedication made this project possible.

Each September, during National Su***de Prevention Month, the construction industry comes together to recognize Construction Su***de Prevention Week. It’s an opportunity to shed light on the unique pressures construction workers may face, start important conversations, and share ways we can support one another and prevent su***de.

This year’s theme is “Building on Progress.” Recent data suggest that su***de and drug-related death rates in construction have started to decline. We hope that progress continues to grow as we do. Let’s keep showing up for each other. Have the hard conversations, be kind to ourselves and others, and create spaces where people feel safe to speak up, ask for help, and know they’re not alone.

You deserve tomorrow.
Tomorrow needs you.
Together, we can make a difference and save lives.
