J.B. Steel erects the ceremonial Topping Out beam at the new Texas Instruments building in Tucson, Arizona while proudly displaying the American flag. This project has more than 2,000,000 pounds of structural & misc. steel. A big thank you to our great customer Sundt Construction for allowing us be part of your team.

J.B. Steel completed our annual safety and quality refresher training day for all field employees on November 4, 2019. Approximately 50 employee owners participated in a full day of classroom and hands on training focused on safety and quality management.

The construction of the towers is in full swing with the third of the five sections swinging into place at the TEP Sundt Generating Station.

The cooperation between Ashton Companies, Marco Crane and J.B. Steel has helped to ensure the safety of those on and around the tower structures during this unique er****on process.

In partnership with Ashton Companies, J.B. Steel has begun erecting two (2) new 144 foot steel towers for the TEP Sundt Generating Station. To improve the safety of our workers and to increase productivity, J.B. Steel is building the towers on the ground in six sections each weighing up to 45,000 lbs. Once these sections are assembled, they are being lifted into their final location on the tower with a 298 ton crane.

The recently opened Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center is the newest building addition to the University of Arizona campus. The multi-use sports facility will provide practice areas, storage and support space for the Intercollegiate Athletics department. J.B. Steel was selected by Mortenson Construction to provide the miscellaneous steel package for this great project.

Yesterday, doors to the new Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center at the University of Arizona opened and celebrated with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. At Caterpillar’s new Tucson Mining Center; 150K square feet of workspace has been added creating more than 600 new jobs and an economic impact of $600M to the region. J.B. Steel was contracted by Sundt to provide the structural and miscellaneous steel package for the project. This building is an amazing addition to the west side of town with access to Mercado San Agustin, MSA Annex, and Mission Garden.

In 2012, J.B. Steel completed the Bryant Bannister Tree Ring Building, a one of a kind project at the University of Arizona, the world leader for Dendrochronology Research. This 35,000 square foot building provided a new space for this work. The offices and laboratories are located high in the structure with the structural steel designed to resemble tree trunks and branches. A newly renovated Hillenbrand Softball Stadium has reopened after eight months of construction ready to welcome players and fans alike. JB Steel was excited to be a part of Concord General Contracting team on this great project!

The new Marana Dove Mountain K-8 CSTEM school is making great progress. Our structural steel is going up and helping things take shape onsite. The project will be complete for the start of the 2019 school year.
