Your AC is running, but is enough air reaching your rooms?

These photos show a dirty air filter and dust buildup on a blower wheel—two parts of the system that affect airflow.

The filter catches dust before air moves through the equipment. As it fills up, air has a harder time passing through. That restriction can reduce airflow and make it harder for your system to cool the house.

The blower wheel is the fan inside the unit that moves air through your ductwork. Buildup on its blades can affect how much air it delivers. Replacing a dirty filter helps address the filter restriction, but it does not remove dust already on the blower wheel.

Weak airflow can also come from duct, coil or other equipment problems. That's why the right next step is to check the system and identify the cause before deciding what work it needs.

I'm Chris, owner of Complete Comfort Heating & Cooling. If your vents feel weaker than usual, some rooms aren't cooling well, or the house takes longer to cool, I can inspect the system and explain the findings and recommended work.

The diagnostic is $70, waived only if your approved repair exceeds $300.
