From one of our customers who also chose the cash out option and took the small amount she received from the insurance company to replace her very old system instead of repair it. She understood the assignment.
Raul and his team brought their A game to help me out of a jam. I was on my way to the backcountry of Alaska for a dream vacation when I get a call from my tenant that the house is 90 degrees inside and triple digit heat is forecasted for the week. Murphy’s Law, right?
My warranty company recommended Arizona Heatwave for the repair. Raul was out the very next day and accessed that my A/C was beyond repair and I needed a new unit. He got right on the claim. According to the warranty plan I was to get a replacement unit but that could take 10 plus days. Having elderly tenants, they could have died during the extreme heat waiting to sort out all of the red tape, etc; or I would’ve needed to pay out of pocket for their lodging.
Mind you I was in the backcountry of AK trying to sort all of this out. Raul was great about communicating with me during periods of spotty cell service to answer my questions.
I decided to take the cash out from the warranty company and apply those funds towards a new unit that luckily Raul could get right away. I couldn’t afford not to with everything at stake. This was decided on a Friday afternoon and by Tuesday morning they were out there installing the unit. My tenants were grateful and I found peace with having them taken care of right away. They were uncomfortable about leaving their home and it was unacceptable to let them try to stay in the house.
