The most expensive painting project is often the one that waited too long.

Recently, A&D Painting completed a complete recoating of the metal handrails throughout a local Atlanta Catholic high school and its football stadium complex.

What caused the coating to fail?

Peeling. Blistering. Cracking. Fading.

And surprisingly, many of these failures were concentrated in the areas touched every day—where wedding rings, bracelets, hand lotion, sweat, and natural hand oils take their toll.

Instead of simply painting over the problem, we:

🔹 Removed failed coatings by scraping and sanding
🔹 Applied Sherwin-Williams Pro Industrial Pro-Cryl Primer
🔹 Applied two full coats of Pro Industrial Urethane Alkyd Enamel

A great example of what we do best: full exterior repaints!

Here, the scope covered a complete repaint of three adjacent student residence building exteriors using Sherwin Williams coatings systems, selected for their durability and ability to hold up against Georgia's heat, humidity, and seasonal weather swings.

A few things we're especially proud of on this one:

🕐 Timeline — Campus housing runs on a hard deadline. There's no pushing move-in day, so we planned and staged the work to hit a fixed finish line without exception.

🚧 Access — Several areas of the buildings presented access challenges. We brought in a 50' articulating boom lift from Empower Rental Group to safely and efficiently reach every surface without compromising quality or schedule.

🎨 Craftsmanship — Stucco and metal trim each demand different prep and application approaches. Our crew brought the attention to detail needed to deliver a clean, consistent finish across every building.

🤝 Partnership — Active campus, students and staff nearby, coordination required at every step. We worked hand-in-hand with the university's facilities team throughout to keep things smooth and minimize disruption.

🏢 Capability — Multi-building, multi-surface commercial repaints like this are exactly the kind of large-scale work our team is built to handle.
