Slabs .con is a Commercial- RESIDENTAL Concrete Contractor specializing in (you may have guessed it) SLABS. As the concrete season picks up our schedule becomes more demanding. We are looking to hire concrete laborers. Pay will be based on experience.

We ask that each employee has reliable transportation to meeting location of job site.

Responsibilities-

Load truck with proper materials for working day.

Unload truck with the materials needed for the day. AT JOB SITE

Form day- unload lumber, place stakes, sledge for all workers, assist with setting forms, and grade. Assist to align, straighten, plumb and square forms for installation. Install and tie rebar and wire mesh.

Pour day- unload all tools and equipment for the day, wash all tools. Place all tools back on the truck in the correct placement. This ensures that no tool gets left behind.

Stripping forms- Remove all screws from boards. Scrap all concrete from boards and place on the truck.

Clean construction site. Scrap all splashed concrete. Pick up all trash, tools, and any materials.

Use power sprayer or washer/ backpack blower/ scrapper to keep jobsite, trucks, and equipment clean

Care, clean, and organize form material in shop, in truck and at a job site

Assist finishers with any work.
Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.

Check fluid levels on all equipment and vehicles.

Preferred skills-

▪ Employee is required to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials and tools up to 100 lbs. using abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously over time without “giving out” or fatiguing.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
▪ Work is accomplished primarily outdoors, occasionally indoors, and in all types of weather conditions/environments.
▪ The employee will be exposed to and working near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
▪ Constant and proper use of personal protective equipment is required and will be provided by the Company (i.e. hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, and safety gloves).
