Many people have asked me “so what does the garden look like?” Well earlier in August I finally pulled out the ladder and took some photos! While my growing space is by no means huge, I still needed higher ground to capture the size!
In the main growing space, I have 4 rows of flowers and then a trellis with green beans! In the second growing area, I’m focusing on perennials and bulbs. For August in this area much is done for the season, but earlier in the season it had gladiolus, lilies, and peonies blooming! Then I have a few smaller growing areas because I always have more that I want to grow! I utilized some metal containers to grow more zinnias, marigolds, and herbs that I use for filler. I also decide to plant some mini pumpkins this year in the other one!
August can take a toll on the garden and the gardener (lol). So trust me when I say the garden doesn’t look as lush as this anymore so I’m happy I captured it at its prime!
