This season I will be hosting paint parties at Cake Alchemy! If you’ve ever wanted to sign up for a paint n sip class, but don’t like drinking this is a sweet alternative. Cake Alchemy will be providing mini desserts, and trust me you don’t want to miss out on those. There will be 3 types of classes to choose from for both adults and kids.

For the adults:

FALL ACRYLIC CANVAS PAINTING
PAINT a spooky fall scene with acrylic on an 11” x 14” canvas.

HAND PAINTED COASTERS
Paint Halloween/Fall designs on 4 round ceramic coasters.

HAND-PAINTED CUTTING BOARD
Paint your own design on a wooden cutting board to display in your kitchen.

Or you can spoil yourself and sign up for all three classes!

Then for the little ones:

ACRYLIC CANCAS PAINTING
They can paint an 8” x 8” canvas for Halloween.

HALLOWEEN MAGNETS
They can make a bunch of Halloween magnets for your fridge to display.

WOODEN TRINKET BOX
Or they can paint a small wooden treasure/trinket box for all their special things.

I decided to start hosting paint parties and this one will be my first. I honestly had no idea what I wanted to paint, but I know I needed it to be approachable to beginners, easily finished in 2 hours, and also be fun. Spoiler: this was not completed in 2 hours during the trial class 🫣 oops. However, it was so fun and everyone had a blast. I’ll be coming up with more painting ideas here soon!

For a long time I didn’t prep my coasters before painting them. Ceramic is a porous material which means my paint would soak right into it costing me a lot of paint. It finally occurred to me to paint a layer of gesso on them first. It may be an extra step, but I’m saving so much paint doing it.

Been working on this one since Mother’s Day. Hopefully I’ll get it done soon and it doesn’t end up in the back of the closet with the rest 🫣

It’s been a long time to get here. I’m so excited to finally be sharing my art with the world. September 8th is going to be a soft launch until I can create more products to add to the collection. My dream is finally becoming a reality.

My online shop will have a couple notepad designs and hand painted coasters to choose from. Having a full time job and also trying to keep my mental health in check has made this journey interesting to say the least. In the end it is so worth it.
