Yesterday our driver Alex did an excellent job controlling his vehicle while experiencing a blowout tire. He not only stayed in control, but he also placed his triangles out on the scene - a common miss when it comes to equipment failure on the side of the roadway.

By staying in control, he prevented what could have been a worse situation.

Drivers: From the Safety Dept: "It appears that all of the major fuel suppliers are experiencing shortages at this time. We have spoken to our contacts and they have confirmed. Some are limiting purchases to 60 gals. The west coast, east coast and OH and WV areas seem to be struggling the most. Some are also allowing the smaller stations to go dry to keep the larger stations wet. Drivers should plan ahead accordingly. Our contact does not think this will resolve itself quickly."
