A single hummingbird drinks up to half of its body weight in nectar and water daily. With the drought going on these little birds are having a hard time finding a place to stop for a drink and need all the help they can get. It is very easy to make your own homemade hummingbird nectar by thoroughly mixing 1 cup of plain, refined white granulated sugar (either cane or beet sugar) with 4 cups water do not use any dyes. Each feeder is made from solid glass with a metal base.
