A foundation we were able to do with Spencer Gierman for a new home out off of M22. This house plans to go up, rather than out. So with the 4’ under finished grade to keep the frost out, and 10’ of wall above that, we alternated stacking 9’, and 5’ panels. With two rows of Walers, and “stiff back” bracing every 8’, we poured this thing nice and easy in 3 different “lifts”, while two ground guys straightened and adjusted the turnbuckles attached to the stiff backs to keep the walls straight, and square.

The beginning of what kind of feels like the next chapter, and the next big “thing”. In March I hit the five year mark of being a business owner, and working for myself. To share everything that it has taught, and provided me in a post, is impossible. Constant lessons, long days, problem solving, new mentors, and experiences I don’t think I would’ve had without this journey. But the big thing is the people, and colleagues I’ve been privileged to have crossed paths with during all of it. The phenomenal list of fellow contractors, and clientele that gave me a shot, have actually changed my life. It hasn’t all been pretty, and it’s almost never perfect, but I’m excited for the future, and feeling blessed to have the people I do in my corner. Full Speed Ahead.
