Over the years I am asked over and over what The Mossy Tree does through the winter months followed up by “so do you do snow?!?! I usually say we read books, drink tea and clean our spice cabinets. This is true but far from all that we do! Most importantly , we have a much slower pace that allows travel, connecting and snuggles with our lovies, live music , sporting events, streaming and binging.🥰🥰🥰
I am so grateful for my team and all the former staff nembers who have helped me build this labor of love. Here’s to 2026 , our 20th season and our 9th season at our Herkner Road location!
P.S. We only play in the snow, no removal service available.

Wedding weekend has begun! Former Mossy Tree Team Member and mighty fine son Jon Oakley is marrying Brittany Johnson tomorrow. Susanna sleuthed out a special breakfast spot this morning that is a Triple Bottom Line Business just as we are!
Delicious food, special coffee and great flowers surrounded us as we dined outside and enjoyed a fun meal together. We highly recommend Brooklyn Street Local!

2025 container design for the bird garden at headquarters is a loud and busy spot on the porch. We have had a pair of pileated woodpeckers here eating suet together all winter. Each time the feeder is empty, they loudly knock on the house and deck railing. So far no damage to the wood if we refill quickly . They are loving the addition of foliage to their favorite dinner spot!
