That's my old tool belt hanging on the wall behind me.

Don't worry. I'm not literally hanging up my bags (I finally got a new set). They are there as a constant reminder of where I came from.

Over 30 years I've had the chance to work with some incredible builders. I've learned from some of the best in the business, and I'll always be grateful for that.

Something I've noticed watching guys make this transition into running their own company: somewhere along the way, a lot of them lose sight of where the rubber hits the road.

So, to my future employees and subcontractors: I will ALWAYS make time for you. Not just when it's convenient, or between tee times. Always.

I'll earn your respect just like everyone else.

Welcome friends to DeWitt Custom Homes!

We're excited to launch our page and invite you along for the journey. DeWitt Custom Homes is a builder based in Northwest Michigan, specializing in custom home building and remodeling.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andrew DeWitt, and I've been in the business of building homes for 30+ years. There's still nothing I love more than turning a family's vision into a place they'll call home. Whether it's a brand new custom build from the ground up or a remodel that breathes new life into an existing space, I bring the same care and craftsmanship to every project.

We're just getting started here on Facebook, so bear with us as we build up our page. Expect to see project photos, behind-the-scenes looks at our builds, and updates as we grow. We'd love for you to follow along, share with friends, and reach out if you're dreaming about a new home or thinking about a remodel.

Thanks for stopping by!
