One of the more complicated trees we’ve tackled in a while.

This tree was hanging over a set of stairs, and it took just about every rope and piece of rigging we had in the truck to get it down safely without causing any more damage.

The video is a little longer at 5½ minutes, but it shows most of the process from start to finish, with a little explanation along the way.

Definitely one that made us think, but it all came together in the end.

We've had an incredibly busy stretch over the last week responding to storm damage while trying to keep up with our regular tree work.

We're hiring!
Vermilion Tree Service is looking to add another person to the crew for the remainder of the 2026 season.
We're looking for either:
•A ground worker who's willing to learn and work hard.
•Someone with experience climbing and/or operating aerial lifts.

A Class A CDL is a big plus, but not required.
Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Able to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Able to work safely as part of a team.
• Safety is always our top priority.

No experience is necessary for the right person, we're willing to train someone who is motivated and eager to learn.

This is a seasonal position through the end of the 2026 tree season (typically early November). Pay is based on experience.
