Acrylic paint for a pickleball and/or basketball court is a specialized 100% acrylic, water-based coating mixed with silica sand. It is squeegeed over asphalt or concrete to create a non-slip, UV-resistant surface that ensures a true, predictable ball bounce and player safety.

Applying the acrylic paint to old concrete required intense cleaning, acid-etching, and specialized primers to prevent bubbling or peeling. Old concrete holds moisture and releases alkaline salts, meaning we must use an adhesion-promoting primer and acrylic resurfacers before rolling out any colored court coatings!

It is clear that the correct materials and installation techniques were not utilized for this project. Proper base preparation and the selection of the correct turf are fundamental to a lasting, high-quality result, and unfortunately, these critical details were completely overlooked. Obtaining the correct tools, materials and techniques for the job is a must! Every detail matters! This is the result of trusting the wrong crew! A costly mistake!
Side note : DO NOT USE RED CRUSHED OCHRE -
RED CRUSHED OCHRE IS NOT SUITABLE/RELIABLE FOR STRUCTURAL MATERIAL!
Reasons : High Clay Content, Lack of Load-Bearing Strength & "Iron Ochre" Clogging.
Only suitable for decorative purposes!!
