// Some of you have met our newest ‘Liner at our Happy Hours in January and February. He connected with us via IG last year and asked about an internship. DM led to DM and then eventually a Zoom happened and now, he’s here! He’s an architecture student from चंडीगढ़ 🇮🇳 and we are genuinely thrilled how his experience and perspective (and skills!) have broadened and beautified the way we go about designing solutions for our clients. His “every day is amazing!” attitude is infectious and we’re certainly feeling lucky to have him share his Self with us. Please scroll through and read up on what makes this pony-tailed ‘Liner unique and relatable. And then, come meet him at our next Happy Hour! // SLIDE ONE: 1. Favorite food hack. 2. Cities you hope to visit. SLIDE TWO: 3. Favorite architect. 4. Three things you can’t do without. 5. Tiny or big house. 6. Celebrity crush (Deepika Padukone). 7. Favorite band (Local Train). 8. Favorite artist (Sidhu Moosewala). SLIDE 3: 9. Life Mantra: Nirbhau Nirvair (fearless & without hate). 10. What makes your parallel with PLs? “I align with the ethos and culture: mutual love and respect for each other including our team and our stakeholders and deliver excellence in whatever we deliver.” 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 // 📸

// We had a terrific time at last week’s Happy Hour! Thanks to those of you who clustered around Table X while getting to know more of the backstory on the bones of the building — it’s design and creative taproots. It was a double enjoyment on our part to share it with you! (And the bites? *👩🏼‍🍳💋*) Make sure to come to our next FIELD TRIP ED (three months from now) where you’ll be able to walk and talk within a commercial or residential project of our choosing. •

// // Two stools… one table, one stool… two stools… Today we’re throwing back to a collaboration w/ Elemental Shopworks: ARCHIMEDES STOOL. Made of maple plywood and steel, this adjustable seat allows for statures of all sizes and the ability to separate the pieces into two usable objects. The shell is created from one 4’x8’ piece of plywood and the waste from the cuts become pieces for a smaller, child-size stool. The plywood is sanded and left raw, the metal untreated. •

// Our first “boots on the ground” moment with you. Er visit the space armed with measuring devices and tapes, a camera, plenty of paper and pencils, and we measure. And measure some more. We measure the entire existing condition which will result in a digital 3D model, all in an effort to communicate and understand our proposed design. Have a home or a commercial space forming? Good. Give us a call.

// She’s holding everything together, over here. She has 16 arms, two dozen legs, five brains, and 10 hearts. And her ability to make us laugh keeps us rolling. Ladies and gents, here’s our very own ! SLIDE 1: Share one meal/food hack: Use mayo to grill your bread for hot sandwiches instead of butter. Put Lay’s potato chips inside your sandwich to add texture and flavor. Favorite cities you've visited: The towns up the coast of Maine to Bar Harbor.

SLIDE 2: Favorite book: To Kill a Mockingbird. Celebrity crush: Paul Rudd. Favorite band: Minus the Bear. Big House or Tiny House: Tiny but with enough storage space. Three objects from your home you CANNOT do without: My blanket, comfy clothes, pillows. If you could transport all your favorite people to one place or setting, where would it be, and what would be happening? Yurt community in Iceland.

SLIDE 3: Share one of your life's mottos: There is no room for guilt when moving forward. How are you "parallel" with Parallel Lines? I’m new to design and I love and appreciate the built environment. 📸

// One with the land… // We are as in love with Utah’s unparalleled landscape as you are, which makes designing and building a project that will EXIST near the red bluffs of a national park and under the cotton-clouded sky a serious focus of our intentions and attention. The first slide of the now-competed and fully operational boarding facility and community center can be compared with one of our final renderings prior to the build. The Torrey community’s trust was bedrock strong and we delivered something that can and will be a respectful reflection of that beautiful land and its community. // Do you have a commercial project that you want to make a mark — but still have it reflect the beauty of this land? Give us a call. We can do that. 📸 Steve Babbitt. •

// They say it’s about the company you keep…✨ We are over the proverbial 🌙 over here. Our principal and shining 🌟 was recently “acquired” by a phenomenal organization in . “The goal of [WIA-SLC] is gender parity in the professional field of architecture, and seeks to achieve that goal through community, mentorship and advocacy.” We celebrated Jen’s new inclusion within the board at winter social, situated in the bustling and atmospheric-rich . The event was in partnership with the National Organization of Minority Architects — another needed org in SLC’s expansive and inclusive growth. We celebrate Jen and these terrific organization who are making SLC a richer, fuller, GREATER place to design and build and LIVE in! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
