I graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY (1998), and during this time in New York City I owned and operated a small design-build firm focusing primarily on commercial renovations. Projects also included a number of industrial warehouse / loft conversions in north Brooklyn, where I acted as designer, contractor, and developer. Prior to starting the program a
t Pratt, I had interned at a number of metropolitan Boston area Architectural firms – generating models and documenting existing sites, buildings, and other facilities. Architecture chose me at an early age, as a challenging, creative, and rewarding profession. From the days as a young boy – tracing historic railroad routes with my father – and the towns / cities they helped fuel growth in, and at times the demise of – led to an active desire to try to replicate the unique buildings we saw, in scale models. Years later I was excited to work on a railroad depot restoration in New Mexico, and helped research, photograph, and document material for good friend and peer Marci Riskin, of Riskin Associates Architecture for her book “The train Stops Here”. The aim of Blue Goose Architecture is to fuse a contemporary awareness of technology, environment, and sustainability with the sense of place, scale, and beauty found all around us here in New England.
