A few leaves here and there can turn into a covered lawn pretty quickly once the trees decide it's time.

Depending on the property and how many leaves you're dealing with, we can mulch leaves where appropriate or clean them up and remove them when there's simply too much material.

Sometimes the most important part of a landscape project happens before anything gets installed.

Why is the yard holding water?

Why did the retaining wall move?

Why does grass keep dying in the same spot?

Why does mulch wash out every time it rains?

BEFORE → WHAT YOU DON'T SEE → AFTER
This is Lynda's property here in Topeka.
The old timber retaining-wall system had deteriorated to the point where continuing to patch it wasn't the solution.

So we took it apart.
Removed the old system.
Excavated the site.
Prepared the new wall from the base up.
And rebuilt it as a block retaining-wall system.

The last picture is the one everybody notices.
We're just as interested in the middle picture.
Because the finished wall is what you see. The work underneath is part of what makes it last.

When you're comparing retaining-wall estimates, don't compare only the block.
Two contractors can quote the exact same-looking block and be proposing very different projects.

Ask about:
• Excavation
• Base preparation
• Drainage
• Reinforcement where required
• What happens to the grade above and below the wall
• Warranty
• What happens if unexpected site conditions are uncovered
Because once the project is finished, much of the difference between those estimates may be underground where you can't see it.

That's why we don't think of retaining walls as stacked blocks. They're systems.
