🚨 SIGNIFICANT SEVERE THREAT TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT with storms capable of producing TORNADOES 🌪️ (some may be STRONG – up to EF2), Very Large Hail🧊 (over 2 inches possible), and Damaging Winds💨.

Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected Tuesday from the Southern Plains into the Southern Great Lakes region, with ALL severe hazards possible. A bi-modal severe weather setup is expected, with two primary corridors of concern across the Midwest and central Texas.

➡️MIDWEST (Primary Tornado Corridor)

The greatest regional severe threat will likely focus along a frontal boundary from northern Missouri into Illinois and portions of Kansas Tuesday afternoon and evening. Storms developing near the warm front may become discrete supercells capable of producing TORNADOES — including STRONG tornadoes 🌪️ (up to EF2).

Large to VERY LARGE HAIL 🧊 (possibly exceeding 2 inches) will also be possible with stronger storms. As the evening progresses, storms may begin to cluster or grow into lines, increasing the DAMAGING WIND THREAT 💨.

⚠️ The greatest tornado potential currently appears to be along the warm front across central Illinois between approximately 3 PM and 8 PM CST.

➡️CENTRAL TEXAS / SOUTHERN PLAINS

Storms may begin developing late Tuesday morning into early afternoon from north Texas toward the Texarkana region where capping may be weaker. By late afternoon and evening, more widespread thunderstorm development is expected across central Texas.

Initial discrete supercells may produce VERY LARGE HAIL 🧊 (around 2+ inches) and possibly a couple of tornadoes 🌪️. As stronger forcing arrives during the evening, storms may grow into clusters or bowing segments, bringing a higher threat for DAMAGING WINDS 💨, with the potential for embedded circulations as the low-level jet strengthens overnight.

⏱️ TIMING

• Late Morning: Isolated storms possible across north Texas / Texarkana region

• Afternoon into Evening: Supercell potential increases across central Texas and the Midwest frontal zone
• Evening into Overnight: Storms may grow into clusters or lines, increasing the damaging wind threat

⚠️ BOTTOM LINE: A bi-modal severe weather event appears possible Tuesday, with the highest tornado threat across the Midwest warm-front corridor, while central Texas may see supercells capable of producing very large hail and damaging winds.

⚠️ Have a plan in place Tuesday afternoon and evening. DO NOT SLEEP NAKED. 🌪️

GET READY‼ - BUSY DAYS AHEAD⚠ with a risk for severe storms beginning as early as TONIGHT across the Southern Great Plains. With the risk for storm INCREASING into Wednesday!

🔴WEDNESDAY: Southern Plains up into the Midwestern US along a slowly moving cold front will kick off storms in the late afternoon and into the evening hours. The highest chances of storms will be across Eastern Oklahoma and North Texas. Wind & Hail will be the primary hazards with the possibility of a tornado. (especially across North Texas near the Red River)🌪️

🔴THURSDAY: Another Storm System will eject into the Southern High Plains, and we could see a "day before the day" type of severe weather threat across the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma. Wind & Hail Risk will be the Primary Threats. As the sun sets, the TORNADO RISK🌪️ will INCREASE across the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma as the low-level jet increases.

🔴FRIDAY: FRIDAY COULD BE A SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER DAY⚠️ with the HIGHEST OVERALL SEVERE WEATHER RISK from Texas to Nebraska. This is where we could see the peak of this Severe Weather Event with widespread significant severe weather of all hazards (Tornadoes, Large Hail, and Wind)

More details to come as model data becomes clearer.

Storms will come.
Headlines will hype them.
Timelines will fill up with noise.

But out here, none of that matters.

What matters is the men and women putting on their hard hats, stepping into the cold, the dark, and the unknown — with one thing on their mind: getting power back and getting home.

No storm is worth a life.
No restoration is successful if someone doesn’t make it back to their family.

As winter weather moves through, our focus stays locked where it always is — safety first, every decision, every step.

Not one more.
Not on our watch.

As we prepare to travel into this storm, we place ourselves in Your hands. Cover us with Your protection and go before us on every mile of the road. Calm the winds, soften the ice, and give us clear vision and steady control.

Grant us wisdom in every decision, patience in every delay, and peace over any fear that tries to rise.
Keep our equipment sure-footed, our minds alert,
and our reactions quick and measured.

Protect not only us, but every driver sharing the roads.
Bring us safely to our destination and safely back home again.

We trust You, Lord, as our shield and our guide.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
