Why am I running for city council?

Many of you know, but some don't, but I am running for city council. Why, you ask? This was never on my radar, but people have asked me to run because I have lived here for 28 years, run a successful business, have to stay in budgets, and like to give back to to my community. I have a small budget to contribute to this campaign, but I thought I would post it to you all so you are aware. I believe the city should be run like a business, because it is. Here are a few goals of mine, should I get the honor of being elected.
* Common sense leadership
* Fiscal responsibility, don't waste my money
* Protect the right to life for all
* Help small businesses thrive
* Small government/ local control
* Constitutional Values
* Responsible growth
* Decisions based on what is best for the city as a whole
* Fight to reign in ever increasing taxes
* Protect those who protect us

Naturally there are a host of other items that would be addressed, but I would be honored to have your vote on August 12th. Please post questions or concerns you have with city issues and I would love to answer them the best I can. No one knows the answers to everything that needs addressed within the city, but I look forward to working with county leaders as well as city leaders to try to solve what I can. Here is a postcard image also that we made that hopefully you can share. Thank you for letting me be a part of your community, and I look forward to serving you, and yes, I will still be running my plumbing and remodeling company.
