So what exactly IS the Master Pools Guild? 👀

You’ve probably heard us mention the Master Pools Guild a time or two around here, especially with Josh wrapping up his two-year term as Chairman of the Board.

But what you might not know is that membership in this group isn’t automatic.

The Master Pools Guild is an international organization of accomplished pool builders, with a membership selection process designed to uphold its standards.

Because for us, being surrounded by builders who are committed to learning, sharing knowledge, and raising the bar for our industry is one of the most valuable parts of being a member.

We’re proud to be part of it. And even prouder of the relationships we’ve built along the way. 🤍

Full disclosure: Josh did not approve this video before posting. But as his social media manager AND wife I wanted this to highlight what truly an honor it has been to watch him in the role as Chairman in the Master Pools Guild over the last 2 years.

15+ years ago, Josh started Regal Pools from the ground up.

What he probably never imagined was that one day he’d have the opportunity to serve as Chairman of the Board for the Master Pools Guild, an organization made up of some of the most respected pool builders from around the world.

This past week in Miami, marked the end of his two-year term as Chairman, and we couldn’t let this chapter close without looking back at some pretty incredible moments.

And lucky for him - I captured it all 😜

From leading meetings and speaking on stages to sharing knowledge, celebrating fellow builders, and representing an industry he’s dedicated so much of his life to.

But if you ask Josh, I have a feeling he’d tell you the most meaningful part wasn’t the title, the recognition, or the opportunities.

It was the PEOPLE.

The friendships, the mentorship, the conversations, and the relationships built along the way. A true FAMILY!

To the Master Pools Guild and everyone who made these last two years so special, THANK YOU.

What an honor it’s been. And what a chapter to look back on. 🤍💙

Many special guests appearances in this video and I don’t want to leave anyone out - so feel free to tag yourself in it!

We’re currently at the Master Pools Guild conference in Miami, FL and last night’s awards ceremony gave us a few extra reasons to celebrate!

Hearing Regal Pools called multiple times for projects our team has poured so much time, creativity, and hard work into is something we’ll never take for granted.

Because behind every award-winning backyard is a team of designers, project managers, skilled trades, and people who genuinely care about the work they put their names on.

And of course, the homeowners who trusted us to bring their vision to life. None of this happens without you.

Pretty damn proud of this team. And even prouder of the work that got us here. 🤍

Thank you, Master Pools Guild, for the recognition!

A lower pool bid doesn’t automatically mean you found a better deal.

And a higher price doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting a better pool either.

You just need to understand what you’re actually comparing.

Two pool designs can look nearly identical on paper and have VERY different things happening underneath the tile and water.

Engineering. Steel. Plumbing. Gunite. Equipment. Materials. Construction processes. Experienced trades. Project management. Warranty. Service after the build.

Those things may not be nearly as exciting as choosing your waterline tile, but they’re a pretty big part of what you’re paying for.

So when one quote comes in $20K, $30K or even $50K less, don’t just celebrate the savings.

💸Ask where the savings came from.

Maybe there’s a perfectly good explanation. Maybe you’re not actually comparing the same scope. Or maybe something you care about is being done differently.

Either way, you should know before you choose your builder — not a few years after.

Compare more than the bottom dollar.

And yes, we know Regal Pools | Houston Pool Builder isn’t usually going to be the cheapest quote. We’re okay with that. 😉
