A homeowner in Creekwood Acres in Spring, Texas called JT Southern Heating and Air after their air conditioning system had an issue with the drain pan filling up with standing water. Left unaddressed, a full drain pan leads to water damage, mold growth, and costly repairs inside the home. We cleared the standing water from the drain pan and used nitrogen to blast through and clear the primary drain line, ensuring proper drainage was fully restored throughout the condensate system. We also installed a blowout valve so future drain line maintenance can be performed quickly and easily without having to disassemble components, and added a safety float switch to give this homeowner an important layer of protection going forward.
Here is why that float switch matters. If the drain line ever clogs again and water begins to back up in the drain pan the safety float switch will automatically shut the system off and alert the homeowner through the thermostat that there is an issue. Instead of coming home to water damage on the ceiling or floors this homeowner will simply see a signal at the thermostat letting them know the drain needs attention before any damage can occur. It is a small upgrade that provides enormous peace of mind. JT Southern Heating and Air serves Creekwood Acres, Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball, Cypress, Conroe, and the surrounding North Houston area with honest and professional heating and air conditioning service.
