🎒 Back to School: A Reminder to Slow Down & Stay Alert 🚌
As students head back to school and begin a new year, our roads and neighborhoods are getting busier again. It’s a good time for all of us to refresh a few important safety reminders — and to talk about them with our children.
🚌 School Bus Safety: Stay back from the curb, wait for the bus to stop completely, and always follow the driver’s instructions.
🚸 Walking to School: Use sidewalks and crosswalks whenever possible, look both ways before crossing, and never assume a driver sees you.
🚗 Drivers: Slow down in school zones, stay alert for children near roads and bus stops, and always stop for school buses when required.
📵 Phones Can Wait: Whether walking, biking, or driving, distractions can be dangerous. Keep your eyes up and pay attention to your surroundings.
