After working for Radar Exterminating and another small firm, he was hired to serve as the Structural Pest Compliance & Enforcement Inspector for the Department of Agriculture Plant Division for the State of Georgia. Leaving the state job in 2002, he founded HANCO Exterminating. Mike and his wife, J

essica, were married for twenty years and had five sons. He fathered his sons with the biggest heart and the gentlest of spirits. Mike passed suddenly on August 14, 2014. After the sudden loss of her husband, Jessica chose to step in and run the business. Working by his side in the office since the establishment of HANCO Exterminating, she gained needed experience to be able to facilitate and provide the quality service that the company's reputation had been built on. By securing the proper leadership and meeting all state mandated regulations, she has been able to restore service, running at full speed. In 2016, Jessica obtained her Certified Operators License in Household Pest Control from the State of Georgia Department of Agriculture. She plans to continue her education and earn her license in Wood Destrying Organisms as well.
