So far the baby goats have some of our favorite critters on the farm! Briar is always out checking on them in her princess dress of course 🥰

It was such a beautiful morning

As the sun was rising & shining through the trees, two bald eagles flew right over the tree tops.

Since Daisy has been getting more comfortable with the milking process these mornings have become quite peaceful ✨️🌅

Well Daisy finally had her baby on Memorial Day!

She's kept us very busy the past week! We've been dodging (most) kicks while milking, chasing the calf around the pasture, hauling giant buckets of milk back and forth, making butter, cheese, yogurt, etc.

A lot of new skills to master all at once but we are learning as we go and having fun with it!

Briar has decided to name the baby Poppy! Which seems to be fitting because she is always popping around the pasture.

Milking at first was very challenging. These videos make it look so easy, but the hand strength, technique, and stamina all at once is hard to accomplish. Aaron has definitely gotten it down better than I have.

We have since decided to invest in a machine milker to make the process more efficient. But I'm glad we went with hand milking at first to really appreciate what the machine does.

A lot more calf & milk related videos to follow 💖🐄

Fermenting feed does so many amazing things!

• "Pre-digests" the feed
• nutrients are more absorbable
• Improves microbiome
• Supresses harmful pathogens like E. Coli and salmonella
• Pigs grow more quickly

All of this eventually transfers to you. The healthier the animal, the healthier the person eating it.

🙅🏼‍♀️NO coco liners for us this year!

Moss is in for 2026, didn't ya know?

Seeded our non-traditional pasture today.

Our pasture started as woods with > mostly scraggly trees and briars so thick you couldn't walk through them.

Since moving to this property aaron has don't a ton of work clearing both of those out. Now that the beautiful nutrient dense soil is exposed, its the perfect time to seed it.

Can't wait to see how it looks in a few weeks 🌾
