🌧️ Another Round of Rain!

It seems like Mother Nature has really been testing us this year!

Fortunately, today’s rain isn’t stopping us completely. We’ve got a few things we can still tackle while working around the weather.

One thing we wanted to share with our customers is that rain doesn’t just affect us while it’s falling. Many of the dumping sites we rely on become inaccessible for several days afterward, which can make it challenging to keep certain projects moving forward.

We want our customers to know we’re doing everything we can to stay on schedule. We’re constantly adjusting, finding ways to stay productive, and making the most of the days we’re given.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through these weather challenges.

Rain or shine, we’re doing our best to keep moving forward! 💪

🌧️ What do we do when it rains?

This year has definitely been a tough one when it comes to rain.

We try to push through it as much as we possibly can, but sometimes working in wet conditions creates more problems—and more costs—than simply waiting for things to dry out.

Getting equipment stuck can mean towing bills, tearing up a customer’s property, and spending additional time repairing areas that wouldn’t have been damaged under normal conditions.

Another challenge people may not realize is dumping material. After a heavy rain, many of the places we haul dirt and other material to can be inaccessible for several days. Even if it’s sunny outside, that doesn’t necessarily mean the ground—or the dump sites—are ready for us.

There’s also the quality of the finished project. Trying to grade, compact base, install hardscaping, or move heavy equipment across saturated ground can create problems that aren’t worth rushing through just to stay on schedule.

We understand delays can be frustrating, and trust us—they’re frustrating for us too. We have employees, equipment, and overhead whether we’re working or waiting.

At the end of the day, we’ll always push forward when conditions allow it, but sometimes waiting a couple of days saves a whole lot of headaches later.

Mother Nature gets a vote in landscaping, whether we like it or not! 🌧️🚜
