A big congratulations to Limited Energy apprentice Andrew Green!
Andrew is the very first recipient of a new scholarship from the Northwest Automatic Fire Alarm Association (NWAFAA), awarded through IEC Oregon's Limited Energy program. His award covers tuition, books, and lab fees for the Fire Alarm class at Clackamas Community College this fall.
This partnership began when Garrick Youngberg, brought the idea to the NWAFAA board: support Limited Energy apprentices by working alongside IEC Oregon's existing scholarship program. For the 2026–2027 school year, NWAFAA is funding three awards, one each for fall, winter, and spring, so two more apprentices will benefit later this year.
Thank you, NWAFAA and Garrick, for investing directly in the apprentices who will design, install, and maintain the Fire Alarm systems our communities rely on. Partnerships like this make a real difference in our apprentices' education.
Andrew, we're proud of you. Keep up the great work!
