Operating as usual
After 45 years the slate on this front porch in Braddock Heights MD has seen better days. We are contracted to remove all the slate, repair any loose or broken brick and replace it with beautiful Pennsylvania flagstone in a random rectangle pattern. Not to worry, Shadow the dog will have the ramp back to use. Stoneworx changing the world one stone at a time.
This was a remodel project in Montgomery County MD. The general contractor removed about 7 courses of brick and installed new windows and new siding, we installed the brick sill where it meets the siding. Thankfully they saved just enough of the old brick to complete the sill.
Repeat business means alot to us!! After 6 years of installing this awesome fireplace in Ellicott City MD, the homeowners are starting a basement finishing project and contacted us about possibly doing some more stonework. They are also looking at putting in a patio/firepit area that we are currently going through the design and estimating phase. Stoneworx changing the world one stone at a time!!!😀
When the homeowners contacted us about this fireplace they were considering tearing it out because they just didn't know if it could ever look good again. It not only looks good again but it is now the focal point of the whole downstairs!! We installed a field ledgestone with a natural Pennsylvania flagstone hearth, what a huge difference. From start to finish the transformation of this fireplace is impressive. We started with a plain white wall with the normal builders grade mantel that really didn't draw any attention to it at all. We finished with a "fieldstone" style fireplace from floor to ceiling(19 ft. tall) and a fabulous live edge mantel!! This fireplace was framed out from the wall 2 inches so we could use corner stones to enhance the look of natural stone. It is now the focal point of the room as soon as you walk through the front door. Stoneworx changing the world one stone at a time.
One of our upcoming projects in Mt. Airy MD. 2 story fireplace, stone from floor to ceiling. Currently in the stone selection phase and trying to find the perfect mantel. The general contractor will be framing out the area so we can use cornerstones on the left and right sides to give it that natural stone look and feel. Recently completed project in Frederick MD. After looking at several different styles and colors of manufactered stone by different manufactures, we feel that the homeowners picked the perfect stone to go with their existing exterior color scheme. We removed the existing siding and installed a Tennessee ledgestone in "drystack" technique. Using cornerstones on the left and right side of the house gives the illusion of natural stone being 4 inches thick. Full stone under the porch roof and stone watertable height on the return wall and the front of garage with a sill stone ledge installed on top of stone where it meets the siding and under the porch windows. Patio season is here!!! These pictures are of a stamped concrete patio that was installed approximately 10 years ago. One characteristic of concrete is that it cracks. We are going to do a flagstone overlay(flagstone on top of existing patio). Please consider all options when choosing what material you use when installing your new patio. We love repeat business!!! The first picture is over a year ago when we were contracted to install stone veneer on the foundation of this house. We have been working with the customer since then on this beautiful patio and walkway. We partnered with Cascade Landscaping to create this amazing outdoor space. Our client wanted a patio area for entertaining and the walkway from the walkout basement leading around to the deck steps and then goes to their detached garage. A recently completed project in Glenelg MD!!! The homeowners were replacing windows when they realized they had an issue with water getting behind the existing stone and damaging the plywood. We removed all of the existing stone, flashed all of the windows correctly and made absolutely sure that our overlaps on the vapor barrier were correct and installed this beautiful Cliffstone using a colored mortar!! One of our upcoming projects in Mt. Airy MD. This is an insurance project, a tornado did damage to several houses in this community last November. The original contractor replaced the roof but was unable to do the siding/stone work. We are doing stone on the entire front of this house. Stoneworx changing the world one stone at a time!!
Recently completed project in Mt. Airy MD. We installed a brick veneer to match the house on the porch painted concrete foundation and then installed flagstone on top of the porch concrete slab. We fixed the front walkway by removing all the pavers fixing the base and relaying the pavers and then installed the poly sand to the pavers joints.

This is our version of a colonial style fireplace. This stone is installed over the existing brick fireplace. We used a one piece Pennsylvania flagstone slab for the hearthstone. This was originally a brick wood burning fireplace and was converted into a stone natural gas fireplace.
We are excited to announce that Stoneworx was selected to install brick veneer on 4 different fireplaces at Spring Arbor assited living facility in Frederick MD!! It's so nice to know that our customers truly appreciate our efforts!! With the temps in the upper 90's, our current customers leave a cooler full of ice cold drinks for us, they even made me a gluten free peach cobbler!! Now just to convince them to leave me the keys to the vette!!!

We just finished this Pennsylvania flagstone sidewalk project using the random rectangle pattern and full color range!! We hand pick each piece of flagstone on all of our projects to ensure the customer gets exactly what they have requested. This was laid over concrete but we can install flagstone over many surfaces. Feeling productive today!!!! We started this sidewalk today, Pennsylvania flagstone over concrete. We were able to get 200 of the 300 square feet laid today despite an afternoon shower!! Stoneworx changing the world one stone at a time!!!
It's so nice to get call backs from past customers when they are doing new projects!!! This fireplace we did last year for a customer in Taneytown MD. They are starting to renovate the exterior of their home and we were called to help with the design process and we will be the stone installer for all the exterior work. This will be a fairly large project for a residential job, stone on the outside of house, sidewalks and possibly a patio or two!!! Can't wait for this project to begin!!
