A damaged and outward-rotating foundation wall in Montclair, Virginia, was supporting a garage slab above, with soil pressure beneath the slab and vehicle loading contributing to the movement.

SRS worked with DESKA Foundation Repair to develop and execute an engineered carbon fiber reinforcement plan that stabilized the concrete masonry wall, strengthened the broken corner, and worked within the limited access behind the existing brick veneer.

Once the CFRP installation was complete, DESKA rebuilt the affected brick and restored the home’s original appearance.

Three bridges. Severely deteriorated concrete columns. A complete repair without replacement.

At a golf course in Ramona, California, the columns supporting three golf-cart bridges were cracked and heavily spalled, with sections of concrete breaking away and exposing the reinforcing steel.

Dalinghaus Construction Inc. completed a comprehensive repair that included:

• Removing loose and unsound concrete
• Treating the exposed reinforcing steel
• Rebuilding the damaged column profiles
• Carefully preparing each surface
• Wrapping the repaired columns with SRS-660 BI Directional carbon fiber

The carbon fiber may be the most visible part of the finished repair, but the work completed beneath it made the installation possible. Dalinghaus Construction rebuilt and prepared each surface with exceptional attention to detail and the finished results show it.

The guys at Foundation Solutions saved this client’s yard from collapsing onto the beach. Combining carbon fiber reinforcement with tiebacks provided an effective alternative to tearing out and completely replacing the retaining wall. The strongest bowed wall repairs don’t start with a bracket. They start with engineering.

One of the biggest misconceptions in the foundation repair industry is that every carbon fiber bowed wall system requires mechanical anchors.

The BowGuard system achieves its 39,546 lb design strength (per 6-inch strap) through the bonded SRS-600UNI / SRS-1000 composite, verified through independent third-party testing. That doesn’t mean the wall itself may not require additional restraint.
