245 feet of retaining wall. 700 square feet of pavers. A river rock drainage valley and fresh plantings tying it all together.

The wall holds the grade behind the patio, with a full drainage system built in behind it. The river rock valley handles runoff and doubles as a clean design feature instead of just a ditch. We planted daylilies, tea olives, and six new shrubs, then finished the beds with pine straw and fabric underneath to keep everything in place. We also extended the sump pump line to the other side of the new bed and did tree work to open up the space.

This project held the grade, moved water where it needs to go, and gave this family a finished outdoor space to actually use. Here’s how it came out.

Big news: Cool Breeze Pools is now an installer for Biodesign USA!! 🌊

Biodesign isn’t your typical pool. Patented in Italy and built without structural concrete, it uses a flexible, wraparound liner that’s 300% more elastic than traditional pool materials — which means it moves with the ground instead of cracking against it. Beach entries, sculpted seating, natural stone-look swim zones… the whole thing is designed to feel like it grew up out of the landscape rather than getting dropped into it.

We’ve always believed a pool should be more than a hole full of water — it should fit the property, the people, and the years ahead. Biodesign gives us a whole new way to deliver on that.

This is a big step for us, and we can’t wait to bring these into backyards across Augusta and the CSRA.

The retaining wall is in! 🧱

This Thomson, GA project is coming together beautifully — 245 feet of Sierra retaining wall block now framing the property, with drainage systems built in behind it to keep everything protected for years to come.
